A visitor information hub is shifting to fresh premises just a short distance from the waterfront.

Eastbourne’s Visitor Information Hub (VIH) will operate from the Towner Eastbourne gallery in the Devonshire Quarter starting April 1.

The service is relocating from its former home at the Welcome Building.

Councillor Jenny Williams, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Place, expressed enthusiasm about the development, stating this represents significant progress for Eastbourne’s tourism offering. By transferring the Visitor Information Hub to Towner, the town is merging professional advice, cultural distinction, and genuine Eastbourne hospitality within a single establishment. The new site will enhance collaborative efforts to showcase the area’s artistic scene, historical significance, and points of interest, delivering a more integrated and attractive experience for those visiting the town.

Williams indicated she was pleased to witness the service develop in response to how people currently discover and appreciate Eastbourne.

The VIH will persist in offering guidance and support regarding transportation, landmarks, lodging, and additional tourism services from its updated venue.

Theatrical performance tickets will nevertheless remain accessible through the Theatres Box Office situated at the Welcome Building.
