Memorials have been flooding in for a committed Brighton and Hove Albion supporter who tragically lost his life while serving in the emergency services.
PC Bradley Corke, aged 27, died on Saturday 21 March after being involved in a severe road traffic collision while attending an emergency incident.
The accident occurred on the A20 London Road in Farningham, close to Swanley, on the Thursday evening prior to his death.
Kent Police released a statement saying that Bradley sacrificed his life selflessly while attempting to rescue others who were in peril.
His courage, commitment and drive to assist others will live on in memory.
The collision involved a marked Ford Focus patrol vehicle and a Volkswagen Scirocco at the junction with Button Street.
Another police officer travelling in the same car continues to receive treatment in hospital where his condition remains critical.
A member of the public from the second car involved is also receiving medical care for injuries described as serious.
A two-minute period of reflection was observed by Kent Police on Monday 23 March in memory of PC Corke.
The force has confirmed that PC Corke joined Kent Police in 2022 and was stationed at the Tonbridge base.
Neil Mennie, who chairs Kent Police Federation, expressed that the tragedy demonstrated graphically the dangers encountered by officers in their work.
He stated that Bradley was well-liked among his colleagues and would be greatly missed.
Beyond his policing career, the officer was an avid Brighton and Hove Albion follower who accompanied the club to matches throughout the nation.
His sibling, Nathan Corke, posted an emotional tribute online describing Bradley as his hero.
Nathan stated that their family held season tickets for 14 years and attended virtually every away fixture possible.
Brighton and Hove Albion replied to the post offering condolences and expressing that everyone connected with the club was keeping Nathan and his family in their thoughts during this painful time.
Detectives are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses footage related to the crash to come forward.
