A residential care facility has secured its highest possible food hygiene rating once again.
Collington Park Lodge, situated on Collington Lane East in Bexhill, has been awarded a five-star rating following a recent assessment by the Food Standards Agency.
Officials visited the home on March 10 and granted the top rating for the second consecutive time, keeping the same excellent classification as their initial visit.
The five-star rating demonstrates outstanding practices in food handling, preparation, hygiene, and overall kitchen administration.
Bianca Wilson, general manager at Collington Park Lodge, expressed the team’s delight at having retained their five-star food hygiene rating during their second assessment.
She noted that this result reflects the team’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care, safety, and nutrition for residents each and every day.
According to the FSA’s findings, food handling and safety management received a rating of very good, while the cleanliness and condition of the facilities were deemed good.
Those interested can learn more about the home’s dining philosophy by joining one of the weekly Warm and Toasty Wednesday gatherings, which run from 11am.
Attendees are welcome to sample homemade soup and bread alongside residents and employees.
Collington Park Lodge offers round-the-clock residential, dementia, and short-term care accommodation for as many as 66 individuals.
Inspectors noted that team members demonstrated awareness of food safety requirements and expressed confidence that standards would continue to be upheld going forward.
