Crowborough Miniature Railway opens Good Friday with new train shed roof

Published on

The Crowborough Miniature Railway will welcome visitors again on Good Friday.

The facility at Goldsmiths Recreation Ground has expanded its station canopy into a full train-shed-style covering to better shield passengers from the elements.

The signal box has also been given a comprehensive refresh ahead of the major reopening.

Party reservations for 2026 are now being accepted at the railway.

Youngsters can celebrate birthdays with groups of as many as 30 children, enjoying unlimited journeys aboard a diesel and electric locomotive every Saturday from April through November, running from 11am until 1pm.

Reservations are handled directly by the Crowborough Miniature Railway.

The Easter Bank Holiday schedule begins on Good Friday, April 3, operating between 2pm and 5pm.

Opening hours continue on Saturday, April 4 and Easter Monday, April 6, both from 2pm to 5pm, while the site remains shut on Easter Sunday, April 5.

Advance ticket purchases are not required, with entry passes available at the on-site ticket office.
