Officers attended a property on Hanson Road in Newhaven following reports of a possible burglary on Sunday 22 March.

The call was received at 7.35pm, according to authorities.

Investigators discovered that the property’s front entrance had been broken open and several cannabis plants were located within the premises.

The dwelling was unoccupied at the time of the search.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police confirmed that enquiries are continuing.
