Mid Sussex District Council has sanctioned proposals for Twineham Court Farm situated on Bob Lane in Twineham, in the vicinity of Haywards Heath.
The scheme involves removing outdated farm structures to create a celebration space alongside a newly constructed access road.
The protected farmhouse listed at Grade II status, along with its connected building, will remain standing and serve the new facility.
A covered walkway structure would link the parking area to the building, designed to obstruct sightlines toward adjacent power line towers.
The structures occupying the site, spanning marginally over three hectares, are characterised as run-down and no longer in use.
The developer, Telbridge Properties Limited, has determined that maintaining farming activities at the establishment would not prove economically sustainable given the current state of the buildings.
Eight local residents lodged complaints about the application, citing worries regarding increased vehicle movement, disturbance from sound and artificial lighting.
Nevertheless, the council’s environmental safeguarding department confirmed the developer pledged that all entertainment would finish at 11pm and outlined various steps to minimise sound escaping the premises.
They further noted that the nearest household residences were situated beyond 150 metres distance and would not suffer material detriment from the construction work.
Twineham Parish Council raised substantial reservations, asserting that a modest cluster of countryside-style residences would impose less strain on the rural setting and surrounding homes.
