Beloved city centre bar and nightclub avoids shutdown after last-minute rescue

A popular drinking establishment and entertainment venue in a coastal city has been rescued from shutting down permanently.

Earlier this year, the Revel Collective, which operates the Revolution Bars brand, filed for bankruptcy protection and revealed plans to shutter 21 of its outlets throughout Britain.

The company stated that a combination of escalating expenses and severe tax increases had forced it into administration.

It has now been verified that the Brighton outlet has been rescued following its purchase by NEOS Hospitality.

The takeover of the West Street venue will protect the jobs of all workers there, with NEOS confirming it would preserve the character of the cherished establishment and offer staff a stable future at the location.

The hospitality company has recently taken over 10 Revolution bars alongside 9 Revolución de Cuba outlets, expanding its collection of 40 drinking establishments and late-night venues nationwide.

One such venue is Barbara’s Bier Haus, a ski-resort-inspired bar that launched in Brighton during the latter part of last year.

To mark the occasion, the Brighton Revolution location is providing patrons with a complimentary cocktail, pint, or non-alcoholic drink.

Dan Fudge, the general manager at Revolution Brighton, stated that the team was delighted to be operating again and looked forward to welcoming regulars to celebrate what he described as a long-term future for the venue.

He added that retaining the full team while keeping the doors open represented the best possible outcome, and the establishment eagerly anticipated raising a glass with customers, with the first round offered free of charge.

Revolution Brighton intends to stage various events and fresh experiences, with complimentary drinks available to claim through the website.
