Brighton and Hove Pride has revealed that Paris Hilton will appear as the headline icon act at this year’s event.
Organisers confirmed the world-renowned icon and ultimate party starter would take to the stage on Sunday, August 2.
In a Facebook video, Paris expressed her excitement and described the occasion as something that would be tremendous fun.
She introduced herself to fans and said she was thrilled to be announcing her performance at Pride on the Park in Brighton. She mentioned it would be great fun and that she looked forward to seeing everyone there.
The announcement encouraged people to get ready for high-energy, dance floor moments they would never forget, noting it was time for this icon to own the Sunday Icon Slot and help celebrate 35 years of Brighton and Hove Pride.
Drag legend RuPaul is lined up to perform during the icons slot on Saturday, August 1. In a social media video, he noted it would be his first time in Brighton.
Chart-topping artist Raye, recognised for singles including Where is My Husband and Prada, will also take to the stage at Pride On The Park on the Saturday. Legendary performer Diana Ross will headline and close proceedings on the Sunday.
Alongside the main performances, the beloved annual LGBTQ+ community parade will launch the Pride weekend under this year’s The Power of Love theme, commemorating 35 years of LGBTQ+ visibility in the city since 1991.
