One individual has been charged while another was taken into custody as part of an investigation into suspected county lines drug operations.

On Tuesday, March 24, police executed two search warrants in St Leonards – one at a property in Adelaide Road and another at premises on Ashdown Road.

Officers recovered a quantity of controlled substances along with £240 in banknotes from the Adelaide Road location. A man aged 32 was detained at the scene on suspicion of involvement in supplying class A and class B drugs, possessing class A and class B drugs with intent to supply, and acquiring, using or possessing criminal proceeds.

Luke Holden-Wright, 32, from Adelaide Road in St Leonards, faced the same criminal charges later that day.

He attended Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 25, where he was ordered to remain in custody pending his next court hearing.

A 25-year-old man was also detained on Tuesday, March 24, on suspicion of involvement in supplying class A and class B drugs and possessing a class B drug.

He has been released on bail while detectives continue their enquiries.
