Authorities have put out a call for witnesses following the recovery of a large quantity of cigarettes from a car.
Officers from Adur and Worthing Police attended after receiving reports of an unusual vehicle on Grinstead Lane in Lancing on March 24.
Investigators discovered 4,700 cigarettes along with 5.8 kilograms of hand-rolling tobacco inside the car.
The tobacco products are believed to have evaded duty payments and were confiscated, along with the vehicle itself, a red Citroen C3.
No individuals have been detained in relation to this matter and investigations continue.
The force is urging whoever owns the car or possesses any relevant details to get in touch.
