Neighbors angry over plan to convert home into eight-bedroom house

Published on

A proposal to transform a semi-detached property in Bognor Regis into an eight-bedroom House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) has been lodged with Arun District Council.

Open Mind Empire Ltd has submitted the application for 54 Richmond Avenue, requesting authorization to alter the property’s use alongside constructing a single-storey rear addition and converting the attic space.

Local residents have submitted objection letters to the council, expressing worry about various matters including the potential increase in vehicle numbers and the waste volume eight separate households might produce.

Should the planning permission be granted, the accommodation would comprise three bedrooms on the ground level, three on the first floor, and two within the converted loft area.

The planning documentation can be accessed via www.arun.gov.uk using reference number BR/21/26/PL.
