The full list of winners for the BRAVO Awards 2026 has been announced.

The public-voted awards scheme, now in its tenth year, honours independent hospitality and food venues across Brighton and Sussex.

This year, the awards drew 71,285 votes from the public.

A total of 190 venues were recognised, including 33 newcomers, reflecting growing engagement across the region.

Nick Harvey, founder of the BRAVO Awards, said: “We’re incredibly proud to see over 71,000 votes cast again, nearly matching last year’s record.

“It shows just how valued Brighton’s independent, creative food scene is.”

Organised by Restaurants Brighton and supported by headline sponsor Recorra and category sponsors, the awards aim to spotlight the resilience and creativity of hospitality businesses during a period of continued industry pressure.

Vegetarian restaurant terre à terre, based in the Lanes, won Best Brighton and Hove Restaurant.

Amanda, from terre à terre, spoke about the significance of the win.

She said: “Hospitality in all its forms is the thread that binds people and communities, and we’re fortunate to help weave those connections every day.

“To be recognised among such exceptional contemporaries, and as a fully vegan and vegetarian restaurant, is an honour that carries real meaning for us.

“An award chosen by the public is especially meaningful; it reminds us why we open the doors every day. Thank you.”

Jo & Co secured Best Brunch and Most Family Friendly, while Starfish & Coffee maintained its winning streak as Best Café.

Embers claimed Best Sunday Roast for the second consecutive year, and The Signalman took home Best Brighton and Hove Pub for the first time.

The 2026 BRAVO Awards also highlighted Worthing’s rise as a food destination, along with continued strong showings from rural pubs and venues across Sussex.

Andalucia in Worthing won Best Sussex Restaurant.

Other winners also took the opportunity to reflect on the meaning of the awards.

The Signalman team, which won Best Brighton and Hove Pub, said: “Winning a BRAVO means the world.

“A home from home for everyone.

“We’re so grateful that this has resonated with people.”

The Real Junk Food Project, which won Sustainability Champions, said: “We don’t do this for awards – but when the work gets recognised, we celebrate the people who make it happen.”

Jo & Co, double winners, said: “It always feels fantastic to win a BRAVO and this year it’s double fantastic – we can’t stop smiling.”

This year’s awards included 33 venues appearing for the first time, reflecting the dynamism of the region’s hospitality scene.

The BRAVOs differ from judge-led awards in one key way: all winners are decided by public vote, not panels or critics.
