A Sussex couple’s search for a canine companion will feature on a popular TV show.
Crawley residents Chloe and Pratik are set to appear on Channel 4’s The Dog House at 8pm on Tuesday evening (March 31), as they look to give a loving home to a rescue dog.
The programme, referred to as “the dog dating show”, follows staff at a pet-rehoming charity as they attempt to match dogs with prospective owners.
The episode will witness Chloe and Pratik’s meeting with Fox, a nervous Pomeranian making a second attempt at finding his forever family.
The Dog House, which first launched in 2019 is BAFTA-nominated and has won a Royal Television Society award.
The programme offers viewers an intimate look at first meetings, nervous introductions and the wider re-homing process.
It is set inside Woodgreen Rehoming Centre, a specialist pets charity located in Godmanchester, north-west of Cambridge.
The centre, founded more than 100 years ago in 1924, helps thousands of animals every year.

More than 10 million dogs currently live across the UK, and rescue centres are coming under increasing strain, partly due to the cost-of-living crisis.
Last year, more than 47,000 people contacted Dogs Trust about giving up their dog, and the RSPCA reports that the number of dogs in its care has doubled since 2020.
