An NCP car park has been saved from closure.
National Car Parks (NCP) announced last week that 22 of its car parks would close after the parking giant fell into administration.
NCP said the sites would shut at 11.59pm on March 27 after the firm’s recent slide into administration.
The 95-year-old business has been struggling in the post-pandemic era.
This included one car park in Sussex – the NCP Trinity Place in Eastbourne, which was due to close last week.
However, the Eastbourne car park has been saved from closure after a new company took it on.

A spokesperson for BlueParking said: “We’re delighted to have taken over operations at Trinity Place in Eastbourne and to bring the car park back into full service for the local community.
“Following the recent closure of operations by National Car Parks (NCP), we recognised how important this facility is to residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
“Our team acted swiftly to ensure a seamless transition, restoring operations within just one day and minimising disruption for users.
“At BlueParking, our focus is on delivering a modern, convenient, and reliable parking experience.

“Trinity Place is a key location, and we are committed to enhancing the site through our digital-first platform, making parking simpler and more accessible for everyone.
“We see this as more than just taking over a site – it’s about supporting the local economy, improving accessibility, and ensuring that Eastbourne continues to benefit from high-quality parking infrastructure.
“We look forward to serving the community and building a long-term presence in the area.”
The car park has remained open throughout. From “instruction to going live” was under 24 hours, ensuring no disruption for motorists or local businesses, the spokesperson added.
