A day of countryside celebration is coming to Sussex.
Plumpton Racecourse will come alive with the sound of hooves, Morris Men, and cheering crowds for its Sussex Raceday on Sunday, April 19, with gates opening from 12.15pm.
The event promises a full day of family entertainment, including seven horse races, a charity mascot race, a falconry display and traditional Morris Men performances.
Guy Chadwell, CEO at Plumpton Racecourse, said: “Here in Sussex, we’re known for our strong will and rebellious spirit, and quite rightly being staunchly proud of our beautiful region.
“Our Sussex Raceday is all about celebrating our heritage, traditions and deep sense of community, while ensuring everyone has a fun day out.
“Some of our traditions may seem a little obscure to other counties, but we love them and we wunt be druv.”
