A long line of customers stretched around the corner hoping to purchase a beloved Easter specialty.

Raven’s Bakery located on Ditchling Road in Brighton has earned a reputation for its hot cross buns.

Each year, customers line up outside the establishment on Good Friday to buy these beloved sweet rolls.

Despite the precipitation, customers kept coming, with photographs revealing the line extending down the roadway.

Certain buyers showed up as early as 6.30am to guarantee they would get their purchase, with the business opening its doors at 8am.

Waiting in line for Raven’s hot cross buns has become an annual Good Friday custom for numerous Brighton residents.

The establishment moves thousands of hot cross buns throughout the Easter weekend.

A hot cross bun enthusiast who queued last year called the buns “legendary” after meeting fellow customers from Worthing, Guildford and London in the line.

They remarked: “There must be some secret ingredient – they’re really fluffy, much nicer than shop bought.
