A bar in the center of Brighton is seeking permission to extend its operating hours.

C-Side Ltd., based in Brighton, has filed paperwork with authorities requesting authorization for The Mesmerist to remain open until half past two in the morning from Sunday through Thursday, and until half past three on Friday and Saturday nights.

At present, the establishment shuts its doors at 2am on weekdays and 3am on weekend nights.

The business is also requesting permission to serve alcoholic beverages, present live performances, and provide additional entertainment services until 2am on Sunday through Thursday, and until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Under these proposed changes, alcohol service would cease at 2am from Sunday to Thursday and at 3am on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The request also encompasses extended opening hours for significant sporting occasions featuring England’s men’s or women’s national teams.

Residents opposing these modifications must submit their objections to Brighton and Hove City Council’s licensing department by April 10.

Objections may be sent electronically to EHL.licensing@brighton-hove.gov.uk or mailed to Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove, BN3 3BQ.

The council offices maintain standard business hours for individuals wishing to examine the registry and application documentation.

Copies of application summaries can additionally be accessed through the council’s website.

The Mesmerist occupies premises at 1-3 Prince Albert Street, Brighton, BN1 1HE.
