A popular husband-and-wife-owned health food store has re-opened in a village after previously closing last year.

Beneficial Health, in Pulborough, has re-opened at a new site at Stane Street Nurseries today (April 15).

The owners of the store, Kevin and Christine Donnelly, said: “This new chapter means so much to us, and we’re incredibly grateful to be back doing what we love.

“We truly missed being part of your community.”

The couple described closing the store last year, after 15 years in business, as one of the hardest decisions they had ever had to make

The new store is now based in a unit next to The Greenhouse, a ‘back to basics’ greengrocers and food shop.

It will stock natural products, supplements and health foods.

Mr and Mrs Donnely said they were returning with the “same passion, care and personal service” customers had previously known, adding they couldn’t wait to welcome people back.

Customers were quick to react to the announcement on social media, with Jo Clark labelling the re-opening “fantastic” and Rachael Scott adding “brilliant news”.

Beneficial Health’s former Lower Street shop was listed among Sussex’s best health food stores according to a list based on Google Reviews in 2019.
