Police search for suspect over string of Sussex break-ins

Published on

Detectives are working to locate a person linked to a series of burglaries in the area.

On April 16, police received reports of three separate break-ins across Bognor.

The venues targeted were The Claremont pub on Scott Street, Capirino’s Pizza, and Starfish Kingdom on Aldwick Road. All three were entered during the early morning hours between 1am and 2am.

Officers established that windows were smashed at each of the three premises.

Police stated that while nothing was stolen from The Claremont pub or Starfish Kingdom, a range of items were taken from Capirino’s Pizza.

Officers attended all three scenes, and investigators have indicated they consider the offences to be connected.

A Sussex Police representative indicated that various lines of enquiry are continuing as part of the ongoing investigation, and detectives wish to speak with this person in relation to the matter.

Members of the public who recognise the individual or hold relevant material such as CCTV footage or mobile phone recordings connected to any of the incidents have been asked to get in touch with police.

Information can be provided via the force website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 188 of 16/04.
