Three teenagers have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a multi-vehicle crash.
The incident occurred on the A23 northbound at Albourne, near Hurstpierpoint, yesterday, April 16, at around 10.15pm.
Two cars and a lorry were involved in the crash.
Three occupants from a blue Ford Fiesta were taken to hospital with serious injuries, where they remain.
This includes the driver, a 17-year-old boy from East Grinstead, and two 19-year-old men from East Grinstead and Copthorne who were passengers.
The driver of a Ford Puma, a 46-year-old woman from Horsham, also sustained injuries, while the driver of the lorry, a 57-year-old man from Swindon, was not injured.
Road closures remain in place on the northbound carriageway from Pyecombe and diversions are in place.

National Highways said police will be carrying out investigations in daylight hours today, during which the road will remain closed.
It is not expected to reopen until later today “at the earliest”.
Sussex Police has advised motorists to find alternative routes, adding that “further information will be provided in due course”.
A spokesman for the force said: “Witnesses or anyone with information about the collision, including with CCTV, mobile phone or dashcam footage is asked to report it to Sussex Police online, quoting Operation Malling.”
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said it was also in attendance at the incident last night.
