Parking charges are set to increase in several parks across Brighton.
Brighton and Hove City Council has announced changes to parking tariffs in East Brighton Park, Preston Park, Stanmer Park and Vale Park, effective from May 2.

The new prices will be enforced from Monday to Sunday, between 9am and 8pm, with a maximum stay of six hours, except in certain areas of Stanmer Park.
In East Brighton Park and Vale Park, the charge for one hour will rise from £1.30 to £1.40, two hours from £2 to £2.10, four hours from £3.10 to £3.20 and six hours from £6.10 to £6.30.
Preston Park will experience a slight increase, with one hour costing £1.80, up from £1.70, two hours at £3.60, up from £3.40, four hours at £6.80, up from £6.60 and six hours at £8.70, up from £8.40.

In Stanmer Park, various parking areas, including Chalk Hill, Church Car Park, Lower Lodges (East & West) and Lower Lodges overflow, will also see changes.
The charge for one hour will increase from £1.30 to £1.50, two hours from £2 to £2.20, four hours from £3.10 to £3.50 and 11 hours from £6.10 to £6.80.
The Upper Lodges in Stanmer Park, which has a maximum stay of eight hours, will experience a similar adjustment.
However, the Pathway area of Stanmer Park will remain unchanged, with charges of £1.70 for one hour, £3.40 for two hours, £6.60 for four hours and £9.20 for 11 hours.
The council has updated these charges under Section 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
This follows the previous restrictions order for these parks, made in 2016 for East Brighton and Preston Park, 2020 for Stanmer Park and 2025 for Vale Park.
