A yearly parade of farm vehicles is set to return as a moving memorial to a much-loved teenager.

The Arundel Bluebell Tractor Run will take place on Sunday, April 26, in memory of Thomas Winters-Holmes, aged 16, while supporting Young Lives vs Cancer.

Hollie Trezise, Fundraising Engagement Manager at Young Lives vs Cancer, explained that since launching in 2024, the event has brought in approximately £16,000 for the charity.

The organisation relies on income from functions like this one to fund its vital services for children, teenagers and their relatives, ensuring they obtain the help they need at the right time.

Several families have already felt the impact of donations made in Thomas’s name, and learning that further individuals will access support in future represents a wonderful tribute and proof of how treasured Thomas remained.

The charity expressed heartfelt thanks to all those involved in arranging this special occasion.

Thomas, who relatives described as appearing in this world already dressed in John Deere dungarees, was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in December 2023.

This rare malignancy affects children and adolescents.

He died in April 2025, only 16 months after his diagnosis and a fortnight before turning 17.

His relatives shared that keeping Thomas’s lively character, drive and mischievous grin alive offers them comfort during their mourning.

On his 16th birthday in April 2024, Thomas took part in the inaugural convoy through Arundel, which has accumulated close to £16,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer since beginning.

This year’s assembly will gather at Hiorne Tower in Arundel at 11.30am prior to travelling along the main shopping street.

More than 90 tractors featured in last year’s event, showcasing everything from old-fashioned models to modern machinery.

Participants wishing to attend with a tractor or four-wheel-drive vehicle are asked to pay £25 per automobile.
