Emergency services were called to a “dangerous structure” in the city centre.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident in Jubilee Street, Brighton, at around 1.14pm today, April 22.
A window was pictured hanging over the street from a building.
Kea Edwards, an eyewitness at the scene, said: “A window is hanging on by a thread and the road is closed near Jubilee Library. Pedestrians diverted and worried.

“No vehicle access for the foreseeable.”
The incident has since been cleared.

A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 1.14pm on April 22 to reports of dangerous structure involving the windows of a building in Jubilee Street, Brighton.
“One fire engine and the aerial ladder platform were in attendance. Crews assisted in removal and securing of windows for scene safety.
“A handover was completed with the responsible person for the building with crews leaving the scene by 2.04pm.
