A pub has announced that it will close its doors later this year for a major refurbishment costing half a million pounds.
The Bridge Inn, in Shoreham, will shut in October for six weeks to undergo a £500,000 “makeover.”
The temporary closure will be the second for the pub this year, with the venue also currently shut for a seven day period while essential updates are implemented, along with a change in management.

The current closure will see the pub re-open on April 24, with a statement on the venue’s social media page reading: “Exciting times ahead and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.”
The Bridge Inn is currently described on its website as offering “fabulous yet familiar food” in a “friendly, welcoming and relaxed environment”.
It is pitched as a popular spot for walkers and cyclists and is situated close to the banks of the nearby River Adur, offering “panoramic riverside views”.
