Vibrant tulip gardens showcased in stunning spring photographs

Published on

Each spring, the Arundel estate and neighboring gardens awaken with an explosion of color as tulip displays flourish under bright azure skies.

The photographic collection showcases serene evening horizons and tranquil water scenes, highlighting what many consider the most picturesque village in Sussex and one of Britain’s most beautiful locales. A rare avian species was also immortalized in a peaceful setting by the water.

Photographer Gemma Hammond, representing the Argus Camera Club, documented the extensive range of floral displays, capturing both intimate macro images of tender petals adorned with rain droplets and wide-angle shots of overflowing beds in vivid reds, yellows, and pink shades.

The dynamic interaction between sunlight and shadows across the blossoms generates visual depth and complexity, while the majestic silhouette of Arundel Cathedral serves as a striking architectural anchor. The compilation pays tribute to the seasonal magnificence at its peak, where centuries-old structures merge with meticulously designed garden landscapes to produce one of Sussex’s most vibrant spring celebrations.
