Fatal crash claims life in roadway incident

One individual lost their life in a road incident.

Sussex Police are examining a deadly crash that involved a single car on the B2099 High Street in Ticehurst.

The accident happened between 9.15pm and 9.25pm on Saturday, April 25, outside The Priory Ticehurst House, which sits between Wadhurst and Ticehurst.

A red Mazda RX-8 coupe was moving in an easterly direction toward Ticehurst village when the automobile veered off the roadway and struck an object.

The motorist, a 33-year-old resident of Bexhill, was declared dead at the location.

Investigators are requesting that anyone who observed the crash, or who possesses dashcam or closed-circuit television recordings showing the vehicle being operated in the vicinity before the occurrence, contact them.
