When the sun is out, picking a good walking route is key for many looking to get out and enjoy the weather.
One of the best parts about walking during spring is enjoying nature, with bluebells among the many highlights.
With this in mind, The Times has rounded up some of the best places to see this beautiful flower across the UK.
And making the list was one ancient woodland in Sussex, which is perfect for any keen walker.
Brede High Woods in Sussex is among best bluebell spots in UK
Among the places listed by The Times was Brede High Woods, in East Sussex.
Brede High Woods spans 647 acres and lies on the south-facing slopes of a tributary valley of the River Brede, six miles north of Hastings.
It is located in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just south of the B2089, between Cripps Corner and Broad Oak Brede.
Brede High Woods is home to “astonishingly rare wildlife, diverse habitats and long-forgotten iron works”, the Woodland Trust says.
Visitors can roam the network of paths and rides through “dense ancient woodland, open grassland and sandy heaths in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”.
The Times notes that the winding paths in the woods, which are one of the largest patches of woodland in England, are “perfect for a leisurely Sunday stroll”.

It wrote: “Among the huge swathes of bluebells you might spy purple orchids, primroses and violets lingering after their first appearance earlier in the spring, or the white star-shaped flowers of wood anemone.
“Extra points if you spot the reclusive and strange-looking brook lamprey, an ancient eel-like fish that lives in the streams.”

There are 15 minor entrances into the wood from the surrounding roads and lanes, but most have narrow squeeze gaps.
From the two car parks, there are routes into the wood via an all-ability kissing gate or steps.
Three of the tracks into the wood from the B2089 are surfaced from the entrances, but beyond that, visitors are warned that most rides and paths are unsurfaced and very prone to waterlogging.
