Detectives investigating a double killing are hoping to interview a witness.
Ambulance crews and officers attended a residence on Seven Acre Close, St Leonards, just after 4.30am on June 30.
Reports had been received that a male and female had sustained injuries.
The bodies of Adrian Horton, aged 66, and Uschi Schild, aged 46, were discovered inside the home.
Sean Gray, 58, with no fixed abode, was swiftly detained at a property in Battle Road and has been charged with murder.
Detectives are eager to trace and question the individual captured in CCTV footage, believing he may hold relevant information about the case.
Authorities have confirmed the man is wanted purely as a witness and is not believed to have been involved in the incident.
A senior officer stated that enquiries are progressing quickly and that speaking with this individual could prove valuable to the investigation.
The officer emphasised that the person is being sought only as a witness, with no further suspects being sought.
Members of the public who recognise the man or believe they are the individual in the footage have been urged to contact police immediately.
Anyone with information should report it via the online portal or telephone 101, citing Operation Newington.
