A local MP dropped by a family contact facility and shared guidance aimed at ensuring its continuation.

Alison Griffiths MP made the trip to Littlehampton Child Contact Centre, an establishment offering a secure environment where youngsters from split households can meet with either one or both parents.

The centre’s coordinator, Jackie Roberts, arranged the outing, while the organisation’s chair, Jane Dahill, extended the welcome.

During her stay, she conversed with helpers, families and a father who was attending for the first time, who recounted his own story.

Ms Griffiths devoted the majority of her visit to the contact room, watching children as they spent time with their fathers.

Drawing on her expertise in marketing and technology, she put forward suggestions for improving the centre’s visibility, connecting with additional families and creating alternative revenue sources.

The centre expressed gratitude for her proactive, thoughtful approach.

Volunteers felt heartened and invigorated by her passion for the centre’s purpose and her determination to help it connect with more people.

Ms Griffiths’ appearance has given the centre renewed optimism, as it seeks to broaden its impact.
