Visitors to the Bognor Regis resort can now pour themselves a drink in just six seconds.
The popular seaside holiday destination has become the first in Europe to roll out Boxbar self-service drink dispensers, with over 30 units now operating across its entertainment complexes.
The technology was introduced ahead of the summer half-term break and aims to cut queuing times significantly, giving families more opportunity to relax and enjoy their stay.
Heidi Watson, who leads innovation initiatives at the resort, explained that the development marks an important milestone for the company and reflects their commitment to enhancing the visitor experience. She noted that the self-service terminals would make a tangible improvement for both family holidaymakers and those attending weekend breaks.
The equipment is capable of delivering a beverage in as little as six seconds and stocks over 20 different drinks. The selection spans draught ales, ciders, cocktails, spirits and non-alcoholic options.
Popular choices available through the machines include Madri Exceptional, Guinness, Smirnoff vodka and the resort’s own Butlin’s On The Beach branded beverage.
According to Ms Watson, the system was opened for use during the school summer holidays to address congestion at traditional bar areas. She added that the goal was to streamline the process of obtaining drinks, allowing visitors to maximise their time with loved ones rather than standing in queues.
