Approximately 24 per cent of students at Hurst College obtained straight A* grades in what proved to be an exceptional year for A-level outcomes.

The institution recorded 86.4 per cent of all grades falling within the A* to B bracket, with head of college Dominic Mott commending the dedication, effort and ability demonstrated by the year group.

He described the results as another outstanding set from an incredibly talented, hard-working year group. He noted that these results give pupils the grades they richly deserve, and that as they leave to attend aspirational, ambitious universities, they are fully prepared for what comes next. He wished them all well.

Strong results were recorded across the full range of 26 A-level subjects available at the college, with every art student obtaining either an A* or A grade.

The Extended Project Qualification also performed well, with 83 pupils completing the programme and 99 per cent attaining grades from A* to B.

BTEC Sport outcomes were equally noteworthy, with all students securing at least one distinction.

The results highlight the wide-ranging academic capabilities of the group and Hurst’s commitment to scholarly development.

Members of the 2026 UVI cohort will now advance to various university destinations.
