A musician has been forced to delay her upcoming concert in Brighton after developing appendicitis.

Phoebe Bridgers, who is 31 years old, informed fans through her Instagram story that all scheduled performances across the United Kingdom would be rescheduled.

The cancellation covers two performances that had already sold out, originally scheduled to take place at Chalk venue on August 20.

Bridgers has built her reputation primarily through tracks such as Scott Street and Motion Sickness, though her trip to Brighton was intended to promote her latest record titled Lost Weekend, which currently holds the top position in the music charts.

The scheduled event comprised both an afternoon and an evening performance. Audience members had also been informed that electronic devices would not be permitted during the show.

Mobile phones, Apple Watches and similar gadgets were to be secured inside Yondr pouches, which employ magnetic closure technology to store belongings safely throughout the duration of the concert.

The event was coordinated by Resident Music, who expressed their hope for Bridgers’s swift recovery.

The independent record store stated that they were currently collaborating with the artist’s management to establish alternative arrangements for the Brighton concerts, with further updates promised once a plan had been confirmed.
