Production teams were observed capturing scenes along Brighton’s waterfront yesterday, August 24, as work continued on the seventh series of the ITV drama Grace.
The crew was seen operating near the seafront basketball court, with numerous cinematographers, security personnel, and a substantial production contingent filming footage that included an ambulance.
The scene, complete with sounding sirens and performers dressed in paramedic attire, came as an unexpected sight for members of the public strolling along the promenade in the afternoon.
Staff from the production team were also visible near the entrance of Quarter’s nightclub.
A member of the camera and grip department, preferring to stay unnamed, spoke warmly about the seaside shoot.
He mentioned the attractive scenery and the friendly residents of the area. He noted that the crew had managed well during the hot weather and found the conditions tolerable so far.
Adapted from Peter James’s bestselling novels, the forthcoming season of Grace will comprise four new independent films.
The waterfront basketball court joins a collection of notable Sussex settings previously featured in the popular crime series, such as Brighton Palace Pier, the Royal Pavilion, Devil’s Dyke, and more recently, Infinity Foods in the North Laines.
The broadcast date for series seven has yet to be announced.
