A section of the A27 southbound exit ramp has been closed following a reported police matter.

The closure has resulted in significant disruption to traffic flow.

Severe congestion has been reported on the A23 London Road southbound carriageway between the A23 junction and Mill Road.

According to traffic monitoring services, journey times in the affected area have increased by more than 25 minutes.

Motorists are advised to expect considerable delays as a result of the incident.
