A motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries following a road traffic incident in Steyning on August 26.

Emergency services responded to reports of a collision on the A283 Steyning Bypass near the junction with Canons Way shortly before 6pm.

Sussex Police confirmed that the crash involved a Volkswagen ID3 car and a Kawasaki motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a man aged 43, was conveyed to hospital where he received treatment for serious injuries.

Officers are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Those who witnessed the incident or possess relevant dashcam recordings have been urged to share any information with investigators.
