The festival has been evacuated following reports of a significant incident at the venue in West Sussex.

Emergency responders rushed to the Big Church Festival after receiving calls about a sign that had collapsed and struck several individuals at the Wiston Estate location.

Representatives from South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that medical teams were treating at least six patients at the scene.

Paramedics equipped with specialist skills and critical care capabilities were deployed to manage the situation.

Authorities stated that crews were working alongside other emergency services to provide assistance to those affected.

Sussex Police officers arrived at the venue shortly after 3.30pm.

Officers indicated that they were supporting partner agencies in their response to reports of the collapsed structure near Washington Road.

Members of the public were advised to avoid the area due to anticipated traffic disruption.

The event organizers sent communications to attendees declaring an immediate halt to all festival activities due to a serious on-site emergency.

Visitors were instructed to avoid approaching any performance areas or facilities.

The festival’s official social media channels confirmed the cancellation, expressing deep regret about suspending the day’s scheduled events.

Attendees were directed to vacate the premises promptly, with camping guests asked to remain at their designated areas pending additional information.

Those with camping arrangements were permitted to depart the site if they chose to do so.

Additional updates would be shared as circumstances developed, with gratitude expressed for public patience and understanding during the incident.
