A Vietnamese street food business has introduced a distinctive new condiment at all its UK branches.
Pho, which maintains a presence in Brighton alongside more than 50 locations nationwide, is now offering what is claimed to be the world’s inaugural pink sriracha sauce on an exclusive basis.
The striking pink colouring of the sauce derives from hibiscus blossom, while its spiciness originates from white Thai chillies cultivated in the northern region of Thailand.
The product was developed by SABZU, a premium Thai food brand.
The marketing director at Pho, Libby Andrews, noted that the new sauce presents an eye-catching appearance alongside an appealing flavour, making it well-suited for the summer season.
She added that the company took pleasure in being the sole UK establishment providing the product during August and September.
A special promotion titled Pink Wednesdays is underway until September 9.
Diners who arrive wearing pink receive a spicy pink margarita and selected menu items priced at £5 each.
The offer encompasses dishes such as crispy spring rolls, chicken wings and summer rolls, all intended to be enjoyed with the fruity and piquant sauce.
The promotional initiative applies across every Pho outlet, including the Brighton branch.
The pink sriracha can also be ordered via the Deliveroo platform for a limited period, though it remains exclusive to Pho locations.
