Three individuals transformed a home-brewing passion into a thriving enterprise now manufacturing 47,000 pints on a monthly basis.

Chester, Jamie, and Peter established Three Acre Brewery in 2019, and the company’s swift expansion has attracted commendation from Nusrat Ghani, the Member of Parliament representing Sussex Weald, who recently toured the East Sussex operation to learn about recent achievements.

The MP remarked that three local men developed an idea that has become an established name within the sector and secured industry recognition through their dedication.

She noted that during her previous visit, production stood at 600 pints monthly from their agricultural building outside Blackboys, East Sussex.

The company now serves communities throughout the South East region, producing 47,000 pints per month with intentions to establish tasting rooms in two neighbouring towns.

The brewery recently captured the gold award in its category for Best Beer in the South East, while its Bonfire Beer received the designation of Overall Champion.

Ghani has advocated for the enterprise by arranging for its Session Pale ale to be featured at Stranger’s Bar within Parliament and hosting the proprietors at Westminster during December 2023.

She observed that enterprises of this nature sustain the regional economy through local recruitment and significant representation in independent rural establishments.

Ghani added that recent fiscal adjustments have affected small businesses and that she would continue urging the government to recognise and support these local achievements rather than impose excessive burdens.

The brewery’s operations now extend beyond the South East, with incoming requests from destinations as distant as Sweden.

Ghani stated that she would persist in championing this business and comparable ventures.

She noted that they form part of a flourishing collective of small and independent enterprises operating throughout her constituency.
