The annual celebration drew visitors to the coastal location as the popular event unfolded across the extended weekend.

The gathering, staged by the Worthing Rotary Club, commenced on the final Sunday of August and continued through the following day.

Activities on the opening day featured musical performances, amusement attractions, bouncy castles, market stalls and an energetic show from a K Pop Demon Hunters tribute act.

As the event progressed into the bank holiday Monday, large crowds lined the streets to witness the traditional procession make its way through the town.

The march commenced at Grand Avenue before proceeding along the primary coastal route, transitioning from West Parade into Marine Parade and concluding at Steyne Gardens, where the central festivities were concentrated.

Thirty-three separate community associations, charitable bodies, local organisations and entertainment acts participated, with many opting for elaborate attire and themed outfits.

The Rotary Club has maintained responsibility for the carnival’s operation for more than a century, simultaneously managing additional initiatives that generate vital income for neighbourhood schemes.

According to information published by the organisation, plans for 2026 include aspirations to attract an expanded and more dynamic variety of contributors, incorporating varied entertainment, vivid displays and an eclectic range of sounds.

The stated objective involves developing an event that captures the vitality, imagination and collective character of Sussex, delivering experiences that resonate with all attendees.
