A key cycle lane and parking bays are set to close.
The temporary closures will take place on Kings Road, Brighton, from opposite the junction with Oriental Place to opposite the junction with Little Preston Street.
The pay and display parking bays on the southern side of the carriageway, opposite property number 141 Kings Road to property number 136 Kings Road, will also be affected.

Brighton and Hove City Council announced the closures will start on May 6, as contractors begin the demolition and reconstruction of Kings Road Arches, numbers 17 to 35.
The work, which involves the Bridge Structure BS.5605, is expected to last until May 12.
The council has assured that pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained via a signed and barriered route.
A spokesman for Brighton and Hove City Council said: “The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out the demolition and reconstruction of Kings Road Arches No’s 17-35. Bridge Structure BS.5605. “Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained, via a signed and barriered route. “This Order comes into force on 6 May 2026 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 12 May 2027.
