A woman who was arrested in connection with a stabbing in the city centre has been freed without any charges being brought.
The attack took place on George Street in Brighton during Saturday morning (April 25), leaving a 28-year-old man with severe wounds. He is currently receiving hospital care and his condition is described as stable.
Sussex Police confirmed that a 36-year-old woman who had been detained in relation to the case has been let go without charge.
A force representative said that thorough inquiries are underway to identify other possible suspects.
The man’s medical state has not deteriorated and remains stable.
Officers are going through CCTV recordings from the surrounding area and trying to find any witnesses who could provide valuable evidence for the investigation.
