Emergency responders attended after reports of a woman suffering cardiac failure in a passageway on Belmore Road in Eastbourne on April 2.

She was declared deceased at the location.

The deceased, a 44-year-old resident of Eastbourne, has been named and her family has been notified, according to police.

Her passing is currently regarded as unexplained and detectives are examining the broader circumstances, stated a spokesperson for Sussex Police.

They have also published a CCTV still of a man they are trying to trace who may possess additional details that could assist their inquiry.

He is described as a white man of slender physique dressed in a grey tracksuit, dark-colored training shoes, and a blue baseball cap.

Anyone with relevant information can submit it to Sussex Police through their website or telephone 101, referencing CAD 1303 dated 02/04.
