Fire crews are responding to an incident in Hastings after flames broke out in a residential building this morning.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has urged residents to avoid the area following the blaze.
According to the fire service, emergency teams received a call at 11.09am on 24 April 2026 after smoke was spotted emerging from the rear of a ground floor flat on Grosvenor Crescent.
Two fire engines and several firefighters are currently at the scene.
Authorities have confirmed that all individuals have been checked and accounted for.
The flames were located within a bathroom of the property. Crews deployed two hose reel jets alongside four breathing apparatus sets to tackle the blaze.
Officials later confirmed the fire has been extinguished and personnel have departed the location.
Emergency services stated there were no reported injuries and the incident is believed to have been accidental.
