Officers are Renewing Their Appeal for Public Assistance in the Hunt for an Individual Connected to Multiple Bicycle Thefts

British Transport Police have circulated an updated request for information as investigators continue to pursue leads regarding a man believed to be responsible for stealing three bicycles from railway stations across West Sussex.

The first incident occurred at Haywards Heath railway station on March 5, when a black Trek bicycle valued at £550 was taken from a bike rack positioned behind the station. The owner had secured the bike at approximately 10am before it was taken, according to authorities.

Authorities have released CCTV imagery of a man they wish to speak with in connection with these thefts.

Another bicycle, described as a Trek mountain bike, was taken from a rack at Hassocks railway station on March 3. The owner reported leaving the vehicle at the station around 9am, with the theft occurring near 1pm that day. This particular bicycle carries an estimated value of roughly £1,000 and features a black frame, beige or brown-coloured wheel rims, and purple-coloured components.

A third bicycle, a Vitus model worth £800, was stolen from Burgess Hill railway station during February, according to police records.

Investigating officers have determined that one individual is connected to all three thefts.
