A member of Parliament has pledged to remain accessible to constituents throughout her constituency.

This announcement followed a public meeting held in Southbourne, where the MP for Chichester answered questions from local people covering housing, transport infrastructure and road safety issues.

The question-and-answer event occurred at Southbourne Village Hall and was organised with support from Southbourne Parish Council, giving residents the chance to raise concerns directly with their elected representative.

The MP commented that she had enjoyed meeting people in Southbourne to respond to queries and understand which matters matter most to the community.

She emphasised that representing the views of her constituents in Westminster is a priority for her, and she is committed to staying approachable across all areas of the constituency.

She thanked Southbourne Parish Council and all attendees for making the gathering possible, adding that she would continue hosting similar sessions throughout the constituency.

Proposed development schemes for the wider Chichester area sparked considerable concern among those present, with the MP reiterating her campaign for an infrastructure-first approach.

She highlighted that essential services and transport links should be in place before new homes are occupied.
