A fresh controlled parking scheme is set to be introduced across a number of streets in the area.
Brighton and Hove City Council issued the order on April 8, with the new arrangements coming into force from April 13.
In a public notice, the council stated that inhabitants of the areas included in Controlled Parking Zone 14 would now need to buy permits to park on the highway.
At present, an annual resident permit costs £193.45.
Vehicles with high emissions face a 75 per cent surcharge, whilst those with low emissions receive a 25 per cent discount.
Disabled inhabitants holding a Blue Badge who wish to use resident parking spaces will need to acquire a resident permit for an administrative charge.
This charge stands at £10.60 for standard and low emission vehicles, and £15.90 for high emission vehicles.
Permits are accessible to individuals aged 17 and over whose usual home falls within the qualifying streets for Zone 14, which includes:

The initiative also brings in visitor, business and carer permits, each with their own particular limitations.
Visitor permits may only be requested by residents living within the scheme boundaries.
A maximum of 50 permits per resident applies within any 12-month period, with each permit priced at £4.15 daily.
Business permits are accessible to enterprises located within the zone that can demonstrate a genuine requirement for street-based vehicle use.
Each enterprise may submit an application for up to two permits, meeting council criteria, currently priced at £474.50 annually.
This charge also attracts the emissions-based increases or reductions.
Carer permits serve non-professional caregivers, who may need to visit an inhabitant requiring such assistance due to age, physical or mental infirmity, or who is a woman needing ante or post-natal care.
The council has indicated that permit allocation will give preference to particular groups where feasible, though it cannot assure that all applicants will receive a permit or a parking spot.
The zone will additionally introduce various parking controls throughout different streets, encompassing:
No loading or unloading Monday to Saturday, 7am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm (Lewes Road)
No stopping on school entrance markings Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, excluding August (Davey Drive)
Permit parking Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm (multiple streets)
Loading only Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm; permit parking Monday to Saturday 5pm to 8pm and Sunday 8am to 8pm (Hollingdean Terrace)
Exclusive paid parking Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm, low tariff, medium term (4 hours, no return within 4 hours) (Hollingbury Place)
Exclusive paid parking Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm, low tariff, long term (12 hours) (Upper Hollingdean Road)
Car club parking (Roedale Road)
Disabled badge holder parking (multiple streets)
Motorcycle parking (Hollingbury Place)

Double yellow lines signifying no waiting at any time will additionally be put in place throughout various streets.
The council has verified that fresh permit prices, agreed at a full council gathering on February 26, take effect on April 20.
