A pioneering partnership is helping young female cricketers develop increased self-belief during competitive matches.
Cottesmore School in Crawley has credited specialised cricket garments created specifically for girls by Maiden Cricket with boosting the confidence of its women’s cricket team and enabling them to reach the IAPS semi-finals for the first time.
Maiden was launched two years ago with the aim of revolutionising cricket apparel for young women, with clothing engineered to meet both the practical demands and style preferences of female players.
The bespoke sportswear has been described as groundbreaking, helping athletes feel more professional and appreciated for their sporting prowess.
Tom Rogerson, headmaster at Cottesmore School, said being a smaller establishment might mean having fewer pupils to choose from, but every achievement results from enormous dedication, hard work and excellent guidance.
The teams pour their passion and commitment into every training session and fixture, proving that determination can often overcome numerical disadvantages.
They are driven by a desire to remain competitive at national levels and to continually push themselves with each new season.
Securing victories in prestigious competitions like IAPS represents a goal they aspire toward, and this ambition fuels their resolve to keep improving, developing and pursuing excellence across all aspects of the game.
The school has also earned a place in The Cricketer’s Top 50 Schools Guide, recognising its strong cricket programme, coaching expertise and facilities.
