This defacement is not limited to buildings in Worthing’s central district; countless motorway direction signs, especially those positioned along the A27 corridor, have been targeted. The information displays have become so overwhelmed with spray-painted scrawls that motorists can no longer interpret the genuine signage.

Further areas are succumbing to this paint vandalism, and the condition is worsening.

Several years previously, such widespread tagging did not exist in the Worthing zone or nearby towns to this extent.

Many neighbourhoods remained unaffected by this form of destruction.

At present, we come across it within our housing estates.

Measures ought to be enacted to prevent this issue.

Local residents should cooperate more efficiently, Neighbourhood Watch initiatives demand broader coverage, and council bodies should step in.

During the previous four to five years, there has been a notable influx of Londoners moving toward the southern coastline, and considerable volumes of tagging have proliferated swiftly across numerous places.

I have lived in the vicinity surrounding Worthing for the greater part of my life.

Previously, only scattered locations displayed sporadic markings, yet nothing akin to what we observe presently.

What is happening to our beautiful county and its towns?
