A company is organising a charity night to support a hospice facing financial difficulties.
St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Eastbourne recently revealed plans to axe its home-based care service because of funding problems.
The hospice disclosed last March that it would be eliminating positions and cutting working hours.
Insurance specialist Howden Eastbourne is staging a fundraising gathering at The Fisherman’s Club on Friday, March 27 to collect money for the hospice.
Howden will double contributions, with a maximum contribution of £4,500.
The evening kicks off at 6.30pm and includes casino entertainment, a horse racing game, food, a prize draw and tunes from DJ Dunk.
Tickets can be bought for £35 via howdeninsurance.co.uk/st-wilfrids-event/.
Rebecca Williams, branch manager of Howden Eastbourne, said the hospice holds immense significance for people throughout the local area and the firm takes great pride in backing the essential services it delivers.
She added the occasion aims to unite guests for an excellent evening while generating maximum funds for a cause that genuinely transforms lives.
She noted gratitude towards all ticket purchasers, prize donors and those offering their time and expertise, expressing anticipation for welcoming attendees to what is expected to be an outstanding night.
Businesses supporting the event comprise Cramp & Mullaney Solicitors, Coda Pharmacy, Design Lab Signs & Print, Hawes Construction Group, Eastbourne Property Shop, Simply Patisserie, Alison Miskin – Letters in Lights, Deliciously Sweet and Double Media.
