A US-based coffee chain that has captured the attention of younger consumers is set to launch its inaugural outlet on England’s southern coastline.
Blank Street, which launched in New York in 2020, will open premises in East Street in Brighton. While a precise launch date remains undetermined, a company representative expressed enthusiasm about arriving in the seaside city.
The label has gained traction across social platforms, drawing content creators and followers with its clean, muted green design scheme and picture-worthy flavoured matcha and espresso beverages.
Trending iced matcha options feature blueberry, strawberries and cream alongside Dubai chocolate varieties.
The upcoming Spring 2026 lineup encompasses lemon loaf matcha, cherry glaze cold brew and cherry glaze matcha beverages.
In 2022, Blank Street established its initial British location in Fitzrovia, central London, and presently operates over 50 outlets across the UK. Most of these are situated in the capital, with additional branches located in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and Cambridge.
The Brighton establishment will represent the brand’s debut on the south coast.
Blank Street’s strategy centres on efficiency, occupying modest premises to minimise expenditure and deploying automated equipment to boost production. This enables rapid beverage preparation, rendering it attractive for those rushing to work or grabbing refreshments during their lunch break.
